about steve
through over 50 race victories and the owner of a professional cycling team, steve has acquired wealth of knowledge and experience.
procyclingskills was created in 2012 after listening to so many riders who were seeking out genuine 'on the road' advice and support.
Procyclingskills work with each individual client in identifying where on road skills and efficiency gains can be made, together with providing a real insight into the cycling techniques of a professional cyclist. Steve sees and listens to so many cyclists, whether they are new to riding or in competition and who don't seem to be improving no matter how much training they do.
As a former professional cyclist and having both raced around the globe as well as own and operate a professional cycling team, Steve has built up an incredible amount of experience and knowledge in what it takes to be the best with the resources you have. "Not everyone can race at the highest level, but everyone can certainly achieve and experience incredible feelings on a bike and that's why I decided to start procyclingskills. Both from an improvement in performance AND from a safety aspect".
There seems to be a lot of information out there on the internet on how to improve your cycling, online training programs or coaches who work behind a computer, which can all has it's place. But there is nothing like having someone analyse your actual riding habits on the road, on a climb and provide tailored and personalised advice based on your own strengths, weaknesses, level of experience and objectives.
"Most of my clients would like to ride more than they're able, but with work, family and other life commitments, it's often not possible" explains Steve.
"Everyone understands that the more time you spend on the bike, the fitter you become. But with most of us, time is often against us and that's where we can come in. We will make you a far more efficient, skillful and far more competent cyclist and making the most effective use of your time on the road. If you're wanting to take your riding to the next level, we will show you exactly how to do it".
Like Golf, Tennis or Swimming, to be the best you can be, you need to understand TECHNIQUE and cycling is no different. Procyclingskills is ALL about teaching clients the very best techniques from pedal stroke, overall efficiency, climbing, descending and overall training.

Rachel Neylan
"I've known Steve Cunningham for the past eight years, after establishing my young cycling career in Adelaide South Australia I met Steve racing locally and training in the beautiful Adelaide hills. I returned to Adelaide each summer during my foundation years and frequently had the pleasure and privilege of training with Steve. Some of my best performances came as a result of Steve's training company, hands on advice and input. As an accomplished ex professional cyclist, Steve has a great depth of physical experience along with the skill and tactical knowledge to match.
Great communication and an exceptional way of facilitating work ethic is a stand out quality I often enjoyed. Most importantly, a delightful positivity and enthusiasm encapsulates Steve's attitude to developing riders.
It gives me great happiness to know that Steve is sharing his passion for cycling with a growing number of Aussies wanting to learn to ride, race and enjoy life on two wheels in the best way possible!" Rachel Neylan.
Rachel has achieved so much success on the bike including 2015 winner of the Cadel Evans Road Race, and second in 2016, 2013 Silver at both the World Championships, 2014 Silver Australian Championships and 2015 Bronze and represented Australia in Rio 2016. Rachel currently rides for Orica Bike Exchange.
